Could Food Be the Cure?
We all know that a poor diet is one of the main culprits behind many chronic diseases. What’s often less explored is the power of nutritious food to restore health. This session will help attendees better understand how a food-as-medicine approach can both prevent and potentially treat costly chronic conditions. Speakers will explore the ways that food can be used to fuel a more resilient body, the diseases that are most responsive to changes in diet, and the science of what makes a “healthy diet.” They’ll also discuss how Disney is helping cast members make more nutritious food choices at home, work and play using a digital health-nutrition platform.

From Physical Health to Financial Wealth (And All the Dimensions in Between): Helping Employees Flourish with the Guiding Hand of Well-being Platforms
Last year, Workforce Strategy participants got under the covers with the product development experts from four engagement platforms and learned the current and future capabilities of these tools. This year, it’s employers turn in the spotlight. This session will feature HR leaders from four organizations who are leveraging Castlight, Rally, Welltok and Virgin Pulse to improve employee engagement in a wide array of well-being benefits and programs. These employers will explore the platform ecosystem, how data is used to create a personalized experience for employees, along with the impact the platform is having on engagement.

When Women Thrive: How to Bridge the Gender Gap in Health and Wealth
In recent years, companies have increasingly recognized that to attract and retain people, the employer value proposition has to be inclusive and embrace the differences, and fullness of lives, of its employees. This concept is often referred to as “bringing your whole self to work.” For employers, this means tactically taking steps to holistically address employees’ needs around not only their job or career but also their health and financial wellness. The conference closing session will tackle this timely and pressing issue, offering tangible solutions and best practices you don’t want to miss.
